The Wall by Annukka Junni

The Wall

By Annukka Junni
I was gazing at your wall in the middle of the night

It’s funny how much you share things here

And how much you shared with me

Conflicts, kittens, candid smiles

I relive the time when you stared at my wall from dusk ‘till dawn

We were connected

Or at least the palms of our hands were

Sibilants, stillness, soft cruelty

I tried sending you a casual hello, funny, suddenly it feels too intimate, but the computer said no

Emojis only echo

We’re not on the same page anymore

But I’m not ready to disconnect

How do I refresh
